I'm excited to share that Maelstrom: Story of a Vitch is available for purchase on Amazon. My pen name is Ellisa Barrett. This book actually has nothing to do with Rolfing. It is a paranormal, urban, murder mystery novel with a splash of romance and a strong female lead for people ages 10-14 years old. If you have anybody in your life that might like a book like this you can copy and paste one of these URLs to be taken directly to the Amazon page to buy it:

This book was a labor of love and it was written fifteen years ago via email between me and the co-author. We wrote it the Summer I had moved to the Outer Banks and away from Boone where I and Angela had spent our early to mid twenties together becoming friends.
When her daughter was born almost twelve years ago, I promised that I would have the rough draft of this novel polished and published for her to read it. Can you imagine my delight when I was able to gift her a copy for her birthday this year? I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
In other news, I'm excited to announce that, as I've been working with the functional medicine doctor, my hands are feeling better. We did put a new roof and gutters on the house in April to reduce any chance of moisture getting into the attic or walls. The supplements, dietary changes, reduced hours, and PT have had an effect, and although my joints aren't perfect, I am much improved since last November. I went from being on Naproxen two times a day (that is a 12 hour medication for pain and inflammatory reduction) to not taking any pain relieving medication at all.
However, I am not currently taking new clients for the rest of the Summer. That may change as Fall sets in. I will keep you posted. Other than that, there isn't much news that affects my clients. It looks like I will be holding steady at the pace I'm at. I will be opening up my November schedule when I return to work in August, as I've decided to wait on any additional schooling for the moment. It just wasn't feasible to return home and leave again so soon.
I have the month of July off to rest, and that has translated into time to promote my book and time to complete home projects. I'm nearing the end of renovations upstairs and I hope to have them completed by the new year.
I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful Summer and finding ways to beat the heat!
